This blog is an occasional record of my work as an environmentally and socially engaged artist, as well as the odd illustration or design project. For more frequent news and comments please follow me on twitter (@sage_brice) or facebook (Sage Brice).
I work across media, exploring the use of time-rich perspectives in addressing a changeable landscape. Through academic and socially-engaged collaboration I ground my practice in a range of different approaches and seek to integrate it within varied spheres of lived experience. My work uses found materials and borrowed languages to elicit layered histories of place through drawing, sculpture, installation and performance. I currently entwine a lively contemporary art practice with post doctoral research in human geography at Durham University.
